AWS hands-on lab

Follow the steps below. Use your own cloud account (free tier where applicable). Your checklist progress is saved in this browser.

1. Sign in to AWS

   Go to the AWS Management Console and sign in. Use a root or IAM user with S3 permissions.

2. Open S3

   Navigate to the S3 service from the console.

3. Create a bucket

   Click Create bucket. Choose a unique name and a region. Leave other settings as default for this lab.

4. Upload an object

   Open your bucket, click Upload, and add a small file (e.g. a text file).

5. Enable versioning

   In the bucket, go to the Properties tab and enable Versioning.

6. Verify

   Upload the same file again and confirm that both versions appear in the object listing.
